Location: Solenis offices in Europe, Home Office also possible

As Regional Product Managers you will be responsible for providing Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership within their assigned region to effect profitable growth. Specifically, they are responsible for the profitable growth of their assigned product lines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the portfolio in alignment with the CS leadership.
  • Optimizing local product portfolio to compete in the market
  • Executing and Supporting pricing strategy.
  • Optimizing profitability through cost management (making right products at right assets, regional supply strategy, managing through supply constraints
  • Partnering with sales in key deals/proposal development to increase win rate
  • Managing “backend” product processes and act as point person for all coordinating teams on Regulatory/Supplier Issues, New Product Introductions, etc.

The Regional Product Manager closely works with Product Regulatory, Product Support, Planning, Pricing and Applications in assisting in the following areas:

  • Raw material management, inventory management, regional production strategy
  • Maintaining core price book, ensuring correct and timely updates for their region 9
  • Critical account product planning – product changes, raw material changes.

The Regional Product Manager owns the tactical product management actions and regional execution of product lifecycle strategy. He/she provides regional guidance and input to the Global Strategic Directors with a high visibility to senior management. The Regional Product Manager also owns the regional SBU forecasting process and plays a strong role in upgrading the overall product mix towards more differentiated and higher margin products where this is aligned with the SBU strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or Pulp & Paper
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in the product lines you would be responsible for and exposure to pricing process is necessary
  • Technical applications and sales experience preferred 
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver who has the ability to apply analytic solutions to business problems
  • Strong time and cross-functional people management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills, ability to motivate team members
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across multiple teams
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills (in English)
  • Industry and customer literate or ability to pick up Solenis markets and technologies quickly
  • Profitability and growth orientation; does not hesitate in challenging sales force when required; Willingness and mindset to get into details
  • Knowledge of marketing and pricing fundamentals
  • Sufficient financial skills to utilize the decision support systems to interface with the sales and marketing organizations to drive specific action plans and programs.
  • Anticipated travel in the region of 30 %.
