Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Accountable for the growth of the Corporate Banking and Commercial Real Estate businesses (portfolio size and health, P-L, customer metrics, etc.) and the expansion of the entire Region as a whole by creating and managing high-level sales and business development plans for the team.
  • Responsible for recruiting and retaining high caliber staff in the local market including training, performance evaluations, and professional development of team members and provides ongoing management of business development and relationship management activities.
  • Establishes and manages the strategic direction of the Region with guidance from Management. Implements the strategic direction of the region through the regional sales plan and target segment focus.
  • Reviews teams account plans and supports their business development activities, as needed. Manages team sales pipeline, including pipeline reviews and provides ongoing coaching and problem-solving support to team members, helping them achieve their goals.
  • Actively engage in business development activities such as developing strategic referral sources, managing local marketing plans, and joining team for customer meetings as needed.
  • Responsible for the health of Region's portfolio through ongoing oversight of the credit approval and monitoring process, working with Credit Partners to manage all credit activities Assist with risk mitigation discussions at the request of the Chief Leadership. Approves credit requests within his/her credit approval authority level and reviews credit submissions to credit committee.

  • Knowledge of economic and financial services industry, to include banking and lending. Knowledge of banking and regulatory compliance policies and procedures with a thorough understanding of business processes, business strategy and operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and should have advanced knowledge of Excel.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years commercial banking, credit and lending experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
