POSITION PURPOSE
The Regional Operations HR Leader – Americas is a critical member of the BAC Americas HR and Operations leadership teams. This role is responsible for leading, aligning, and elevating HR support across multiple manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico, ensuring HR strategies directly enable regional
operations priorities. Serving as the primary HR business partner to the Regional Vice President of Operations – Americas, this leader drives people strategies that support safe operations, strong frontline leadership, operational excellence, and a high performance culture. The role provides oversight, coaching, and direction to site HR Managers while ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement across the region. This role requires a strong manufacturing mindset, deep understanding of frontline operations, and credibility to partner effectively with senior operations leaders.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Regional HR & Operations Partnership
- Serve as the trusted HR business partner to the Regional VP of Operations – Americas and their staff, providing strategic and practical guidance on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, talent, and labor matters.
- Translate regional operations objectives into clear people and talent strategies that support productivity, safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Provide input and leadership on organizational design, span of control, workforce planning, and succession planning across all sites.
Leadership of Site HR Managers
- Directly lead and develop site Human Resources Managers across U.S. and Mexico manufacturing facilities.
- Establish clear roles, expectations, priorities, and performance accountability for site HR leaders.
- Build regional capability by strengthening HR business partnership, investigation quality, labor relations skills, and frontline leader support.
Employee & Labor Relations
- Act as the regional escalation point for complex employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and terminations.
- Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant application of policies and practices.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of U.S. employment law and Mexican labor requirements, partnering closely with Legal and local resources.
- Proactively identify and mitigate employee relations and labor risks.
Frontline & Leadership Capability
- Partner with Operations leadership to strengthen frontline leader effectiveness, including onboarding, capability development, and accountability.
- Support plant and regional leadership development efforts aligned to BAC leadership expectations and culture – to include our focus on a frontline obsession mindset.
- Champion employee engagement practices that reinforce that team members have a voice and feel supported at BAC.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead HR aspects of operational change initiatives, including organizational changes, productivity initiatives, footprint changes, and growth investments.
- Drive consistency in HR processes while enabling local flexibility where appropriate.
- Promote a strong frontline and continuous improvement mindset across sites.
Metrics, Insights & Governance
- Monitor and analyze regional workforce metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, engagement, safety, and labor cost – driving actions to reinforce excellence.
- Use data and insight to inform decisions and proactively address emerging challenges and ensure sites are aligned to BAC policies, systems, and HR standards.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience including multi‑site or regional scope.
- Proven experience leading and coaching HR Managers.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior operations leaders in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong employee relations and investigation experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in communications – written and verbal. Executive presence.
- Cultural agility. Ability to work effectively across U.S. and Mexico operations.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional HR certifications or designations. (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP or similar).
- Direct experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in cross‑border or multinational manufacturing organizations.
- Spanish language skills.
NATURE & SCOPE
The Regional Operations HR Leader – Americas will report to the Director, Human Resources - Americas, and will provide guidance to HR staff in the region. This position will matrix report to the Regional VP, Operations – Americas. The incumbent will serve as a team member on the extended global HR Team, partner closely with Talent Acquisition and participate in global and regional HR projects and in cross- functional areas as needed. The position will have significant interactions with all levels of the organization, including the top executives.

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $133,300- $228,600
