Your Mission in Motion:

Regional Linehaul Performance Ownership

  • Own regional performance across On-Time Departures (OTD), On-Time Arrivals (OTA), Left on Dock (LOD), lane reliability, and service impact lanes.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized linehaul cut-off times and execution windows.
  • Act as the regional escalation point for service disruptions, capacity constraints, and execution failures.

Cost & Capacity Management

  • Manage regional linehaul spend, balancing service reliability with cost efficiency
  • Optimize planned vs. actual load fill %, empty miles, ad-hoc lane usage, and lane cancellation rates
  • Partner with Network Planning to align linehaul plans to volume forecasts and seasonal demand shifts
  • Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities without degrading service

Network Stability & Flow Control

  • Ensure consistent lane execution across hubs, sort centers, and branches
  • Monitor outbound dwell time, trailer turns, and yard congestion
  • Lead corrective actions for recurring execution gaps (late departures, missed connections, volume rollovers)
  • Support contingency planning for weather events, peak periods, and network disruptions

Vendor & Fleet Oversight

  • Ensure corrective actions are documented, tracked, and sustained

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and develop Regional Linehaul Managers, planners, or execution teams as applicable
  • Serve as the primary linehaul partner to Hub and Branch Operations, Network Planning & IE, Safety, Finance, and Fleet teams

  • Drive standardized operating rhythms (daily execution reviews, weekly trend analysis, quarterly deep dives)
  • Lead improvement initiatives using Lean / CI principles
