We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Logistics Manager AsiaPacific to join our Jabil team!

JOB SUMMARY

Level: Senior Manager

The Regional Logistics Manager for Apac is responsible for creating and managing the logistics solutions for Jabil’s customers in Apac.  This role is part of Jabil’s Managed services dedicated to Logistics services. This team provides customers, business units and functional areas solutions to their logistics needs particularly in logistics network design, carrier Management, logistics analytics, operational execution for various transport needs, warehousing and delivery , well supported by inhouse TMS solutions.

The Manager will work with the customer, internal business units, Business development Team as well as the logistics vendors to understand the logistics requirements, create and manage the solution roadmap that can be implemented and executed by Jabil logistics operational teams. The position acts as an internal and external consultant regarding Jabil’s Logistics capabilities. As part of this role, you will report to the Director, Global logistics Services.

Job Description:

As the Regional Logistics Manager, you will form a part of the Logistics as a Service Business Unit and will be responsible for setting up and running the logistics services footprint in Asia Pacific. You will be developing solutions that drive value into the transport and logistics domain, including mid to large-scale logistics network design for customers, freight and carrier management, modes of transport and storage, supply chain network mapping , digital business tools for logistics execution – from leading solution design and business case development to providing SME support during the implementation of the solution.

You will work closely with different stakeholders including customers, local operational management teams, as well as functional leads from Sales, Operations, Finance and IT

Key activities include:

  • Lead solution design for customer projects in Logistics, warehousing, packaging, reverse logistics including cross border, domestic and international shipping.

  • Work with BD and internal business units to understand customer pipeline, growth, and other business requirements,

  • Customer facing to discover requirements, create and present carrier agnostic solutions.

  • Provide cost-conscious solutions and identify value added services opportunities to support customer logistics goals.

  • Help develop SOW, contracting and work with Operations Managers to support creating SOPs, Invoicing requirements.

  • Support IT/ technical teams for TMS Integration for client solutions, reporting and visibility.

  • Support business development in preparation of professional customer RFP responses for large bids and tenders

  • Interpret customer requirements, determine and/or develop the most suitable logistics and warehousing solutions and associated resources

  • Work closely with Carrier Management team, Operational Business units, IT and finance team to develop and implement solutions.

  • Create the Org structure in Asia Pacific logistics operations dedicated to customer service and logistics operations.

  • Work directly with customers to explain to them the value that these solutions can bring to their supply chain

  • Provide rationale and benefits of proposed designs, via PowerPoint or similar storytelling, and how modifications improve logistics efficiencies.

  • Continuous research into new logistics landscapes to identify new innovative and sustainable solutions

  • Lead or support other special projects as required

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Hold a degree/ diploma preferably with 8-10 years of experience in Logistics solutioning and business development.

  • Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in 3PL solutions, 4PL carrier management, Road freight, warehousing solutions across Asia Pacific is preferred.

  • Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, leadership, time and task management, the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, change and innovation

  • Team Management , Operational logistics acumen combined with strong sense of business development

  • Capable of working independently, focused, and driven, capable of decision making based on facts and data, whilst under pressure yet deliver on time.

  • Excellent communicator, present findings effectively across all levels of the business

  • 30% travel required for customer meetings.

  • Knowledge of one or more Asian languages is preferred.
