Job Summary & Responsibilities

As the Regional Lessons Business Partner, you will provide strategic leadership and performance oversight for a defined region of Guitar Center lessons programs. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Music Education, this role is responsible for leading and developing a team of four Lessons Lead Area Specialists, ensuring consistent execution of instructional standards, student growth initiatives, and operational excellence across assigned districts.

The Regional Lessons Business Partner partners closely with the Regional Vice President, District Managers, Store Managers, and cross-functional teams to drive student growth, retention, instructional quality, and program profitability through structured field leadership and accountability.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Directly manage and develop a team of four Lessons Lead Area Specialists
  • Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-ones and provide coaching in alignment with program performance goals
  • Evaluate Area Specialist performance, set regional performance expectations and drive accountability for student growth, instructional quality and execution standards across assigned districts

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Ensure Area Specialists are effectively partnering with district and store leadership to maintain talent pipelines and instructional quality
  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure appropriate staffing levels and hiring standards are consistently applied

Training and Development Oversight:

  • Establish regional priorities for training and professional development
  • Ensure Area Specialists are effectively delivering training and reinforcement of instructional and service standards
  • Monitor effectiveness of training initiatives and adjust based on performance data

Quality Assurance:

  • Define and reinforce instructional quality standards across the region
  • Ensure consistent execution of evaluation and observation processes by Area Specialists
  • Analyze student feedback and performance trends to identify systemic improvement opportunities

Program Optimization

  • Analyze regional performance data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to improve scheduling efficiency, instructor utilization and curriculum execution
  • Drive alignment between regional performance objectives and company-wide education strategy
  • Own regional lessons performance outcomes, setting strategy and accountability for student growth, retention, instructional quality and program profitability
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to the VP of Music Education

Customer Service Excellence

  • Monitor customer experience metrics across the region and ensure corrective action plans are executed by Area Specialists and local leadership.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach across the region, prioritizing exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in music education, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in music education management or leadership
  • Proven experience managing direct reports across multiple locations
  • Strong analytical and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of music education methodologies and industry trends.
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed
