You'll join SumUp's Finance Leadership Team at an important moment for our business across Brazil, Latin America and the wider Americas region. This role combines hands-on leadership of core finance activities with governance and oversight of credit, receivables and merchant liquidity management. Reporting to the VP Finance Operations, you'll work closely with FP&A, Treasury, Global Tax and local finance leaders to strengthen reporting, controls, statutory compliance and financial operations across the Americas and multiple expansion markets.
What you'll do- Lead day-to-day finance activities across Brazil, Latin America and the USA, ensuring accurate reporting and clear insight for business decisions
- Partner with FP&A, Treasury and Global Tax on forecasting, performance analysis, tax execution, cash flow and other core finance activities
- Provide governance and oversight for credit, receivables and merchant liquidity management, working with relevant teams to identify risks and strengthen controls
- Lead financial governance and compliance, including audits, financial statement integrity, statutory requirements and regulatory obligations
- Take on formal statutory responsibilities within the first 6 to 12 months in the role
- Build and develop a high-performing finance organisation across the Americas, while supporting finance operations in multiple expansion markets as the business grows
- Proven experience in Financial Services, Payments, FinTech or Banking, with strong finance leadership experience across Brazil and/or Latin America
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, including experience with audits, filings, tax risk and financial services operations
- Strong understanding of credit, receivables and merchant liquidity management, with the ability to provide effective governance and oversight in these areas
- Experience leading operational finance activities across multiple markets, including reporting, tax, audit, statutory compliance and financial controls
- Track record of leading cross functional finance teams in complex, multi market environments, with strong executive stakeholder management
