The APAC Regional Facilities Manager provides leadership and oversight for facilities operations, maintenance, infrastructure reliability, capital projects, and workplace services across the Asia-Pacific portfolio. The role serves as the primary regional leader responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, cost-effective, and business-aligned facilities operations while driving service excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement across all APAC sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Facilities Leadership
- Lead all facilities operations across APAC sites, including maintenance, workplace services, vendor management, and facility compliance.
- Serve as the primary regional liaison between local business leaders and Global Facilities Management.
- Implement global facilities standards, policies, and service levels across the region.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for regional facilities personnel and contractors.
Operations & Maintenance
- Ensure reliability and performance of critical building systems, including electrical, mechanical, fire protection, security, and building automation systems.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce operational risk and downtime.
- Support business continuity, emergency preparedness, and resilience initiatives.
Capital Planning & Project Delivery
- Develop regional capital plans and infrastructure investment recommendations.
- Manage facility improvement, renovation, modernization, and expansion projects.
- Coordinate with the Global Planning & Project Management team to execute capital projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage regional operating budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, operational efficiencies, and energy savings.
- Oversee service providers, contracts, and vendor performance throughout the region.
Compliance, Safety & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and facility standards.
- Partner with EHS, Security, and business leaders to address operational risks.
- Support sustainability, decarbonization, energy management, and environmental initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive facilities, engineering, real estate, workplace, or operations management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing facilities teams, service providers, or multi-site operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing facilities operations across multiple locations and countries.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, fire protection, life safety, security, and building automation systems.
- Experience managing operating budgets, forecasting, contract administration, and vendor performance.
- Proven project management experience involving capital improvements, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, or workplace projects.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated English language proficiency, including the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with global stakeholders, business leaders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate effectively within a global, matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel throughout the APAC region as business needs require.
- Master's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation from IFMA.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience supporting laboratory, testing, manufacturing, research, industrial, or mission-critical facilities environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 41001, ISO 14001, NFPA standards, sustainability programs, and asset management best practices.
- Experience leading facilities operations across multiple APAC countries and cultures.
- Experience implementing service level agreements (SLAs), facility condition assessments (FCA), asset lifecycle planning, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Working knowledge of CMMS, IWMS, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and data-driven facilities analytics.
