The Regional Commercial Agronomy Lead provides regional leadership for Pivot Bio’s agronomy organization, ensuring the team delivers credible technical guidance, strong commercial support, and consistent execution that advances grower adoption and customer confidence. 

This role connects agronomic expertise, field execution, and go-to-market priorities to help strengthen Pivot Bio’s regional impact and commercial effectiveness. 


Essential Functions 

  • Lead, coach, and manage Commercial Agronomists to ensure consistent field execution, clear accountability, and measurable progress against regional agronomy and commercial priorities. 
  • Translate agronomic insights, product performance data, and nitrogen-management recommendations into practical sales actions, customer value, and adoption plans. 
  • Oversee regional agronomy activities, including seller training, product demonstrations, customer support, field trials, and performance data generation. 
  • Advance agronomic strategy that supports revenue growth, strengthens distribution relationships, and expands grower adoption. 
  • Contribute to commercial planning through product placement guidance, marketing input, distribution development, and coordinated field support. 
  • Develop field data summaries and sales enablement materials that turn regional results into clear product positioning and customer adoption resources. 
  • Align with Regional Sales Lead and Distribution Strategy on regional priorities, resource focus, and market development needs. 
  • Use digital tools, precision software, remote sensing, and aerial imagery to evaluate product performance and support grower success.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • This position manages a team of Commercial Agronomists within a designated region. 

Travel Required 

  • This position will require travel approximately 60% of the time. 

Required Education & Experience 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field. 
  • 10+ years of agronomy experience within the assigned geography. 
  • 5+ years of people-management experience. 

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
