You will investigate incidents, determine liability, manage complex customer disputes, negotiate recoveries, and drive claims through to resolution while balancing commercial outcomes with exceptional customer experience.

This is a full‑time remote opportunity. While the role supports a designated region, you will work as part of a nationally connected Claims Team.

Your Role

Reporting to the National Claims Manager, you will assess liability, negotiate with third parties and insurers, and resolve disputes, while delivering a strong and consistent customer experience throughout the claims lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assessing liability across a range of claim types, including single vehicle incidents, multi-vehicle accidents, theft claims and third-party matters.
  • Managing disputed claims and supporting the National Claims Manager with escalated or complex claims matters.
  • Responding to and managing AFIA complaints and other external dispute resolution matters within required timeframes.
  • Assisting with tribunal-related matters, including preparation of evidence, submissions, and attendance where required.
  • Providing claims guidance and support to Branch Managers, Fleet Controllers and operational stakeholders to improve claims quality, liability outcomes and recovery performance.
  • Assisting with fraud identification and investigation activities.
  • Preparing and contributing to regional claims and recovery reporting to support business performance and decision-making.

Your Skills

  • Experience in motor claims, rental vehicle claims, or general insurance claims handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess liability, investigate claims, and resolve disputes in a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage disputes and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Confidence handling phone-based conversations, including challenging situations.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
