SUMMARY

The Regional Account Manager coordinates business needs for a field sales team in the defined region for the Siding & Trim Division of Westlake Royal Building Products. This position will ensure safety for their team, direct and oversee the execution sales activities that ensure both short and long-term growth and relationships in a given geography. The Regional Manager will employ strategies for their regions that support the broader initiatives, by effectively aligning resources, managing personnel, and coordinate initiatives across the region. This position is for the South East Region (FL, GA, AL, TN, MS). Products include: Royal and Exterior Portfolio Vinyl Siding & Soffit, PVC Trim & Mouldings, Mid-America Shutters Mounts & Vents, Atlantic Shutters, Builders Edge, TruExterior Siding & Trim, Versetta Stone, Cedar Renditions, Zuri Decking, and Foundry Shake.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position manages a team of approximately 15 people, both direct and independent reps, within the region assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accountable for the performance of the sales team.
  • Works with a focused group of distributors and downstream customers to meet and exceed metrics for safety, revenue, profitability, and key sales activities.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Territory Sales Managers and Market Development Managers in assigned region.
  • Determine regional and individual territory sales strategies to increase market share. Assess, manage, and coordinate programs and brand positions.
  • Analyze and determine multiple products and distribution channel strategies simultaneously.
  • Responsibility for territory and divisional sales forecasting.
  • Understand and value the workings of the market and its various channels.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all existing customers and key accounts.
  • Work with product management to help identify and qualify new product opportunities.
  • Work with marketing to understand and execute unique needs of all channels and end users.
  • Travel with each Territory Sales Manager quarterly when possible.
  • Ensure entire team operates within expense budget parameters.
  • Make presentations, demonstrate products and represent the company at distribution meetings, downstream customer meetings and trade shows.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, sales reports and business reviews throughout the year.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a functional sales role, previous management experience a plus
  • Ability to form and develop high performance teams.
  • Strong organization, communication and computer skills (MS office suite, specifically excel)
  • Proven strategic, analytical and critical thinking
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Effective and persuasive speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with high level executives as well as support personnel
  • Demonstrated record of success in sales through achievements and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Fosters strong relationships with individuals and teams alike and ensures that all reach their full potential while, importantly, influencing and achieving organizational goals.
  • Shares his/her knowledge and experience to help the team make key business decisions.
  • Gives the team reason to trust them as a leader with strong ability to inspire, influence and motivate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will require 70% travel on average. Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per week and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required. Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.
