Join Our Team as a Referral Coordinator!

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this part-time role, you will be an essential advocate for our patients by coordinating specialty referrals, obtaining insurance authorizations, and helping ensure timely access to the care and medications they need. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate and process specialty referrals from start to finish while ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation. 
  • Obtain and manage medication prior authorizations with insurance carriers to support patient access to prescribed treatments. 
  • Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, specialists, pharmacies, and insurance companies to coordinate patient care. 
  • Monitor referral and authorization statuses, resolve barriers to care, and communicate updates to patients and care teams. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, and HIPAA regulations. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding professionally to patient and provider inquiries.

Benefits/Salary

Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, and Vision, 403(b) with a maximum match of 5% (match depends on years of service), Employer paid life insurance, Employer paid Long-Term Disability, Health Flex Spending Account (HFSA), Day Care Flex Spending Account (DFSA), EAP, Earned Leave accrual (.071153846/hr) & Paid Sick Leave accrual (.025/hr). 

 Pay/Grade Range: The pay grade range for this position has been finalized for the facility according to an evaluation of the roles’ duties and requirements. The selected candidate will be placed within the appropriate range based on job knowledge, skills, education and experience.
