The Role


AMP is seeking a in . Will consider candidates but would expect travel into Solon, Ohio. 

As our , you will work to:

  • Research and qualify sources and buyers (Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs), reclaimers, brokers, converters, others) for recycling materials (plastics, fiber, UBC, ferrous, etc.), including tonnage, quality and estimated value to an AMP facility. Identify key decision makers to build a comprehensive assessment and Total Addressable Market (TAM) understanding for the relevant regional market around an AMP facility. Track in Salesforce.com (SFDC) for both supply and offtake (or finished goods marketing) of materials.
  • Develop and build long term, strong relationships with our supplier and customer set (i.e. MRFs, reclaimers, brokers, strategic partners, buyers, etc.) for procuring and marketing of recycling commodities (plastics, fiber, UBC, ferrous, residue).
  • Develop and execute the sourcing and offtake strategy (spot/longer term, supply/offtake agreements, broker/direct) to meet material origination & offtake plans. Lead this effort for each of AMP’s and our customer’s facilities. Manage material pipeline in SFDC to align with commercial targets.
  • Be a subject matter expert at AMP on recycling materials and commodities market pricing, supply/demand trends, new offtake opportunities, etc. to help influence commercial supply/offtake strategies for AMP’s benefit and that of our customers. This should include standard finished commodities for mechanical recycling with an eye towards other emerging areas of offtake (advanced recycling, etc.).
  • Coordinate closely and regularly with operations and materials coordinator regarding material planning (type, quality, volumes, etc.) and logistics of procured and outbound material.
  • Work with broader Commercial team to support AMP growth goals. Assist with new development opportunities, possible introductions, possible tours, etc.

  • Excellent knowledge of the recycling market, transacting experience of commodities and network within the industry.
  • Extensive experience and deep relationships with key decision makers at MRFs, reclaimers, brokers and other sources and buyers of recycling materials.
  • Ability to move fluidly in a dynamic environment: changing market, operational and regulatory conditions.
  • Ability to represent the company in various public settings (customers, conferences, etc.) and to put AMP forward in the best possible way.
  • Ability to build and use financial models to evaluate prospective suppliers and customers to drive to greater plant profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long term customer relationships.
  • Experience structuring and negotiating commercial partnerships.
  • Competency with Salesforce to build and manage pipeline. Competency with other office tools for internal and external planning, analysis and communications.
  • Partners and works effectively with others to help promote a highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong at execution: results-oriented, organized self-starter.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years experience with a track record of success sourcing and selling recycling commodity materials including plastics, fiber, UBC, etc.

  • Cleveland, Ohio area or Midwest region preferred. Will consider other locations in the United States with understanding there will be more frequent travel to the region.

  • 25-30% if near Solon, Ohio. If not within Cleveland area, travel could be more frequent. Periodic trips to HQ near Denver, CO.

: $125,000 – $160,000 per year.

  • Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna medical healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents.
