About the Role:
The Recruiting Operations Program Manager will oversee and manage key operational initiatives that support the recruiting team’s effectiveness and efficiency. This role focuses on recruiter enablement and operations, including the management of training programs, headcount management and capacity planning. The Program Manager will work cross-functionally to ensure that recruiters are equipped with the right tools, resources, and training to excel in their roles, while also ensuring that headcount and capacity planning align with the organization’s hiring goals.
About the Team:
The Recruiting Operations team is dedicated to optimizing the recruitment process by ensuring efficient and seamless workflows. This team oversees the daily activities of recruiting, focusing on enhancing system infrastructure and user experience for candidates, Recruiters, and the hiring team. By driving strategic initiatives and managing operational metrics, the Recruiting Operations team plays a critical role in achieving organizational hiring goals. Their efforts ensure a positive and streamlined candidate experience from start to finish.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Own the design and execution of recruiter onboarding programs, ensuring that new recruiters are set up for success with comprehensive training and resources.
- Manage the headcount planning process for the recruiting team, working closely with Recruiting Leadership and Finance to align hiring team capacity with business needs.
- Develop models and tools to forecast recruiter workload and capacity, ensuring the recruiting team is properly staffed to meet hiring targets.
- Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in recruiting operations, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions that support the recruiting team’s success.
- Work with Recruiting Analytics to track performance metrics, headcount data, and other key indicators that drive decision-making in capacity planning and recruiter performance.
- Collaborate with Recruiting Leadership to understand upcoming hiring needs and adjust capacity plans accordingly.
- Create and deliver ongoing training programs for recruiters, focusing on areas such as candidate engagement, sourcing strategies, compliance, and systems usage.
- Develop and implement programs that enhance recruiter performance and enablement, ensuring recruiters have access to the necessary tools, resources, and systems to meet hiring objectives.
Here’s what we're looking for:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience required; 4+ years of experience in recruiting operations, program management, or a related field, with a focus on recruiter enablement, training, recruiter metrics and capacity planning.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in recruiting systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday) and capacity planning tools, with the ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong collaborator, able to work effectively with teams across the organization to align recruiting operations with broader business objectives.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong commitment to enhancing recruiter performance and operational efficiency.
- Analytical mindset, with experience using data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $119,000 - $147,000/year in Denver and between $144,000 - $178,000/year for New York/San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
