Atomic Machines is building the Matter Compiler™, the first in a new class of AI-native, all-digital manufacturing systems that build working machines directly from code. The Matter Compiler (MC) is aimed at micro-machines: motors and gears the size of a grain of sand, robots small enough to work inside the body, cooling built directly into the chips that run AI, and the many devices like them that have been waiting on a way to build them. Its first product is PrimeSwitch™, an electromechanical power relay the size of a button battery that carries 150 amps continuous current and opens in 50 microseconds, about a thousand times faster than a conventional contactor. Founded by Jeff Holden — serial entrepreneur, ex-Amazon SVP and Uber’s first Chief Product Officer — the company has raised $250 million to date.
Atomic Machines is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in Emeryville and Santa Clara.
For many candidates, you’ll be their first real experience of Atomic Machines. As our Recruiting Coordinator, you’ll make every step of the interview process feel seamless, from the first scheduling email to the moment a candidate walks through our doors.
This is a high-visibility role for a driven, ambitious self-starter ready to grow alongside our team. Equally focused on candidates and internal stakeholders, you’ll orchestrate interviews, candidate travel, and team logistics across our Emeryville and Santa Clara offices with meticulous attention to detail, anticipating needs, resolving issues before they surface, and closing every loop.
It’s a hands-on, in-office role at a fast-moving company, where priorities shift quickly, and you’ll often juggle many moving parts at once. Working daily in Greenhouse, Google Workspace, and AI tools like Claude, you’ll be trusted to own your work end to end.
What You'll Do:
- Interview coordination. Schedule interviews across teams, offices, and time zones accurately and thoughtfully, including onsite, virtual, and multi-stage loops.
- Candidate experience. Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, managing communication, travel, and onsite logistics so every interaction reflects the quality of our team.
- Recruiter and hiring manager partnership. Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and interview panels to keep processes moving and handle last-minute changes with urgency and judgment.
- Ownership and initiative. Take on new projects as we scale, from improving scheduling workflows to helping new interviewers get up to speed.
- Recruiting operations. Maintain accurate data and documentation in Greenhouse, keep interview plans current, and help improve how our recruiting process runs.
- Events and logistics. Coordinate team events, offsites, and recruiting activities as needed.
What You'll Need:
- At least 1 year of recruiting coordination experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Mastery of Google Workspace, especially Calendar, Docs, and Sheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization, with a track record of reliable, accurate work.
- A growth mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound judgment.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Comfort using AI tools to work faster and smarter.
- Experience with Greenhouse or another applicant tracking system.
- Bachelor's degree required.

What We Do
Atomic Machines is redefining humanity’s relationship with matter. We see a future where our tools will allow us to reorganize matter at the atomic level at will, where we will go from bits to atoms for any object or machine that can be designed in alignment with physical laws. We have begun our journey with the development of a robotic manufacturing platform capable of making an entirely new class of micro-electromechanical (MEMS) devices. We are well funded and have exceptionally strong product/market fit and a clear go-to-market path for the device we will make first with our platform. Our platform breaks traditional manufacturing paradigms and constraints, enabling inexpensive rapid prototyping as well as large scale manufacturing with highly compelling economics. Joining forces with us means becoming part of an incredibly talented, inventive and passionate multi-disciplinary team working on a massive world-changing mission. You will have the opportunity to help define the company from its early days. You’ll be challenged to learn and grow as a builder and a leader as the company itself grows rapidly. And you will receive significant equity compensation - you’ll truly be a company owner and benefit financially from our overall success.
