Reports To: Driver Manager

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job purpose

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for managing the front end of the driver recruiting process. The primary purpose of this position is to turn incoming calls, Call Leads, Micro Applications, recruiting chats, job-board leads, and other driver inquiries into complete applications that, at a glance, meet Page Trucking’s basic minimum qualifications and are ready for a Driver Recruiter to review and pursue.

The Coordinator should keep candidate interactions focused and efficient: obtain basic qualifying information, provide basic information and move qualified prospects toward completing a full application. The goal is to feed Driver Recruiters a consistent pipeline of complete, qualified applications so Recruiters can focus their time on recruiting and closing candidates.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Answer and manage incoming recruiting calls promptly and professionally. Obtain basic information from the driver and guide qualified prospects toward completing a full application.
  • Convert recruiting inquiries into full applications. The goal of every appropriate recruiting interaction is to obtain a completed application.
  • Keep recruiting conversations focused and efficient.
  • Follow up consistently with applicants who have started but not completed an application and encourage them to finish the process.
  • Identify and document basic qualification information, including CDL experience, recent driving history, equipment or specialty trailer experience, location, desired position, and other initial requirements applicable to the position.
  • Collect required recruiting information and documents necessary to move a qualified applicant forward.
  • Escalate qualified and potentially qualified applicants to the appropriate Driver Recruiter for the next stage of the recruiting process.
  • Communicate application status and next steps to candidates and provide timely follow-up when additional information or documentation is needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule Zoom interviews, recruiter calls, terminal calls, and other recruiting appointments once the applicant reaches the appropriate stage.
  • Assist Driver Recruiters with additional administrative and recruiting-related responsibilities when requested.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and pipeline information so Driver Recruiters have a clear understanding of each candidate’s status.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant information, employment records, and other sensitive recruiting information.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and responsiveness.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Three (3) + years of Customer Service experience.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
  • Good people skills and service attitude
  • Outlook, Microsoft Suite and ability to new systems
  • Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to companies’ drug free workplace policies

Physical requirements

  • Physically fit and able to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 20lbs comfortably
  • Ability to sit, twist, turn, reach and pull with comfort
  • Withstand areas of noise with provided hearing protection

Travel

  • Must be open to travel for recruiting events, including additional hours outside of normal work schedule with ample notice from Driver Manager.
