Job DescriptionIngram Marine Group is looking for a Recruiter in the Granite City, IL area. This person will be responsible for terminal and production recruiting, including sourcing and attracting candidates; screening and interviewing applicants; and making hiring decisions autonomously or in conjunction with the hiring manager for certain positions. The role also builds and maintains local relationships with schools, workforce organizations, and community partners to develop sustainable talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
What you will be doing:
- Reviewing and screening employment applications to assess qualifications and fit
- Conducting interviews and making hiring decisions independently for terminal and production roles, and in partnership with hiring managers as appropriate
- Extending conditional job offers and managing candidate communications throughout the hiring process
- Sourcing candidates through multiple channels and collaborating with the Communications team to develop and deploy effective recruiting and employment branding campaigns
- Building industry and brand awareness through creating and maintaining partnerships with local schools, workforce programs, community organizations, and other local partners
- Representing Ingram at educational, informational, and community events to develop sustainable talent pipelines for terminal and production roles
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior high-volume recruiting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Working knowledge of the marine and/or transportation/logistics industry and the roles being recruited
- Understanding of employment law and compliance requirements as they relate to recruiting and hiring
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel as needed
Education & Experience Preferences/Requirements:
- High School or GED required
- 2 - 3 Years experience required
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000
