In this role, the Recruiter will work with Operation leadership to efficiently and effectively hire drivers needed in a timely manner. The recruiter is expected to provide a first class experience utilitizing the Ruan Guiding Principles, anticipate the driver recruiting needs of the organization, create and build relationships, and identify qualified prospects. They will assist with local sourcing strategies, actively onboard candidates through various communication methods, and maintain consistent communication with operation, candidate, and recruiter.
 
Responsibilities:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Communicates effectively and maintains strong relationships with candidates, internal customers and various levels of leadership. Work with operation leadership to understand headcount demand at all times and develop marketing and advertising plans accordingly.
  • Review driver applications. Make determination if the applicant qualifies for defined role based on Ruan qualifications.
  • Organizes calendars for interviews, orientation, road tests, physicals, and consistently follows up.
  • Create and/or modify weekly advertisements for job postings as needed.
    Host weekly hiring calls with all levels of operation leadership.
  • Execute and review all consumer reports to determine if the applicant meets the hiring guidelines.
  • Use current system of record to maintain accurate documentation throughout the hiring process.
  • Assures compliance with Ruan standards and DOT regulations.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate, Vocational, or Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
Course(s) of Study: Business, Communication, Marketing, Supply Chain, Human Resources

Experience: 3 - 5 years
Type of Experience: Strong people skills. Knowledge of DOT regulations and high volume recruiting experience preferred.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.
  2. Must be able to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with our guiding principles: safety, people, customer, performance, and continuous improvement.
  3. Team member should have or be able to quickly learn basic knowledge in DOT rules and regulations. Must have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a fast paced, multi-task environment. Must have strong verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of employment law, ability to present new recruiting concepts to executive leadership and technical communities. Must have strong initiative and solid judgment abilities, analytical skills. Must have demonstrated ability to deliver results. Requires willingness to learn and develop skills in the Human Resource field. Must have experience or capability and willingness to learn recruiting roadbloacks and challenges. Must be professional, credible and articulate.
