About the Position

Reporting directly to the AVP, Recruitment Lead - Europe, the Recruiter is a key member of the team and integral to the overall success of the recruiting process. Successful candidates will be responsible for owning end-to-end execution from search initiation to hand-off for onboarding while ensuring best-in-class client and candidate experience. They will represent the RenaissanceRe brand, often acting as a primary touch point for candidates and hiring teams at all levels throughout the interview process and are expected to display the highest degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment in a fast-moving and multifaceted environment. The Recruiter must be an agile problem solver, able to absorb new information and adjust quickly in fluid situations while providing appropriate transparency and maintaining a seamless stakeholder experience.

Ideal candidates will be highly detail-oriented and organized without losing sight of the search goals. They will bring a mindset of continuous process improvement to search logistics and be expected to have a voice advocating for candidate experience and search efficiency. In addition, they will support the recruiting team’s goal of providing timely and accurate reporting through conscientious data collection and system usage.

Talent Acquisition at RenaissanceRe is undergoing significant transformation to become fit-for-purpose for our expanded footprint and scale. Beyond the day-to-day support of recruiters, hiring teams, and candidates, the Recruiter has an opportunity to contribute meaningfully as we develop and implement best practices and processes. Depending on capacity, interested candidates will also have an opportunity to participate in recruiting activities such as resume and candidate screening for appropriate roles. The role is based in the Dublin office and will primarily support recruiting activity in Dublin, London, and Zurich. The Recruiter may also support roles in other locations as needed.

  • Key Stakeholders & Partners: Global Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers and interviewers, candidates, internal and external recruiters, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Candidate Lead – North America & Bermuda, local office admin teams

Key Responsibilities

Search Execution & Coordination

  • Work collaboratively at the direction of the Recruitment Lead to deliver the end-to-end recruitment process, including liaising with stakeholders and recruitment partners, scheduling and managing interview logistics, facilitating post interview feedback debriefs and communication, initiating offer letter generation and hire processes, and effecting a seamless hand-off for onboarding

  • As an integral part of the search team, participate in kick off and ongoing status meetings to develop an understanding of the role, hiring team, and search priorities

  • Liaise with external recruiting firms to collect required procurement or contracting information at engagement; ensure appropriate capture of MSAs and SOWs in Gatekeeper

  • Implement search interview design, balancing candidate and interviewer needs and anticipating and solving for potential execution risks

  • Manage initial onboarding activities for new starters, including relevant jurisdiction work authorization confirmation, benefits support, and coordination with hiring team on Day 1

Candidate Experience

  • Serve as Brand Ambassador, providing superior candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the full recruitment journey reflective of RenaissanceRe’s culture and values

  • Advocate for applicant experience and maintain search momentum, identifying, escalating, and mitigating timing and other risks

  • Use judgment and discretion to protect RenaissanceRe through appropriate management of confidential hiring information

  • Together with TA colleagues, ensure candidates are dispositioned appropriately, compassionately, and in a timely manner

Data & System Management

  • Actively manage and update relevant recruiting data in the ATS (Workday) to enable accurate and timely reporting and compliance

  • Maintain search documentation, including job descriptions, status reports, interview designs, search presentations, etc.

TA Team

  • Act as mentor and escalation point for Recruitment Schedulers.

  • Drive best practise and consistency across the TA team. 

OneHR Collaboration

  • Act as pivot point with HR and COE partners to ensure coordinated cross-functional support and process integrity for recruiting activities, helping to deliver a “OneHR” experience

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and systems

  • Coordinate recruitment projects and events as necessary, identifying ways to engage broader HR and other stakeholders

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience supporting recruiting activities in a multi-jurisdictional, fast-paced, complex environment

  • Knowledge of recruitment process and operations stages and best practices; experience managing candidates through full search life-cycle ideal

  • Detail orientation and excellent administrative, time management, and organizational skills

  • Excellent judgment and discretion required to manage confidential and/or sensitive internal and external information

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact credibly and confidently with all levels of candidates and stakeholders, including executive

  • Genuine passion for candidate experience; personal drive to reflect RenaissanceRe values and represent the hiring team throughout the search process

  • Business ownership mentality; shared sense of urgency and courage to raise process risks

  • Appreciation for hiring team needs, priorities, and scheduling challenges; drive to make things simple

  • Strong perception and agility; ability to adjust to different personalities and shifting priorities

  • Results-orientation and common sense; practical and realistic assessment of capacity and ability to escalate when needed

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint and experience managing work in an Applicant Tracking System expected; Workday or similar and LinkedIn Recruiter experience helpful
