BUILT ON FLAVOR.  FUELED BY PEOPLE.

What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? Well, there’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. Beyond that, there’s also plenty of hard work. Because we don’t just like flavor, we’re obsessed with it.

With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships. Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable.

As we expand globally and approach $1 billion in revenue, we need more smart-and-scrappy, flavor-obsessed people to come aboard. If you’re looking for a place where you can see the real impact of your work... this is it! Every day, you’ll be part of a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives.

About the Role:

At Kinder's, we believe hiring is one of the most important investments we make in our business. As a Talent Strategy Partner, you'll do much more than fill positions, you'll grow teams, influence leaders, and help build the organization that will fuel our next stage of growth.

This role is a trusted strategic partner to business leaders across HQ functions including Finance, Creative, Brand, IT, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and more. You'll partner closely with leaders to understand business priorities, develop proactive talent strategies, and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes while continuously improving how we attract, assess, and hire great people.

We're looking for someone who combines strong recruiting expertise with business acumen, consulting skills, and a passion for building scalable talent solutions. You'll thrive in ambiguity, influence without authority, and help evolve our Talent function into a competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Talent Partnership

  • Serve as the primary Talent Strategy Partner for assigned business functions, developing deep knowledge of organizational priorities, team structures, and future talent needs.
  • Partner with leaders to translate business objectives into hiring strategies, workforce plans, and talent roadmaps.
  • Consult with hiring managers on organizational design, succession considerations, market trends, and role definition.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide thoughtful recommendations that improve hiring outcomes and organizational effectiveness.
  • Influence hiring decisions through market intelligence, talent insights, and data-driven recommendations.

End-to-End Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment from workforce planning and intake through offer acceptance and onboarding transition.
  • Facilitate strategic intake sessions that define business outcomes, required capabilities, leadership competencies, and long-term growth potential.
  • Elevate structured interview processes that consistently identify high-performing talent aligned to Kinder's values.
  • Drive alignment among interview teams while ensuring timely, objective, and high-quality hiring decisions.
  • Manage multiple searches simultaneously while balancing speed, quality, and candidate experience.

Talent Market Intelligence

  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies tailored to business priorities and competitive talent markets.
  • Build long-term pipelines for critical capabilities and future leadership needs.
  • Leverage market intelligence to advise leaders on talent availability, compensation trends, organizational competitiveness, and hiring strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate sourcing effectiveness and adapt strategies to changing market conditions.

Candidate Experience & Employer Brand

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Kinder's culture and values.
  • Represent Kinder's as a brand ambassador through authentic storytelling and thoughtful engagement.
  • Coach interviewers on structured interviewing, inclusive hiring practices, and effective candidate evaluation.
  • Gather candidate feedback and identify opportunities to continuously improve our hiring experience.

Talent Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting operations, processes, systems, and hiring manager experiences.
  • Partner with Talent, People Partners, and People Operations to enhance recruiting programs and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to recruiting improvements, interview frameworks, scorecards, and hiring standards.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics to identify trends, forecast hiring challenges, and improve organizational performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement by leveraging technology, automation, and scalable processes.
What Success Will Look Like:

In this role, you'll become a trusted advisor that leaders proactively engage when building their teams. You'll deliver exceptional talent while helping shape organizational capability, strengthening hiring quality, and creating scalable recruiting practices that support Kinder's continued growth. Success is measured not only by hiring outcomes, but by the strength of your partnerships, influence, operational excellence, and contribution to building a world-class Talent function.

Skills + Experience:
  • 6+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including experience partnering directly with business leaders.
  • Demonstrated success supporting Corporate and G&A functions including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, IT, Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal.
  • Experience operating as a strategic advisor rather than solely an order-taking recruiter.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect hiring decisions to organizational priorities.
  • Excellent consultation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in competency-based interviewing and structured selection methodologies.
  • Proven sourcing expertise with experience engaging and converting passive talent.
  • Experience interpreting recruiting metrics and using data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, evolving organizations.
  • Experience using Greenhouse or comparable ATS platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-growth Consumer Packaged Goods, food manufacturing, private equity-backed, or startup environments.
  • Experience supporting organizational design, workforce planning, or strategic talent initiatives.
  • Familiarity with California employment practices and employment law.
Pay Transparency:

The expected starting salary range for this role is $135,000- $155,000 per year. The salary range posted for this role reflects the good-faith base pay range Kinder’s reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting and may vary based on the location of the role. Individual compensation within the posted range will be determined based on factors such as relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.

SEASONED FOR SUCCESS:
  • No two days here are the same.
  • We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don’t live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here.
  • We make a lot of decisions in the face of incomplete information – our team embraces ambiguity and tries to make good decisions fast rather than great decisions slow.
  • We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk.
  • We believe in growing our skills and becoming a better company with more managerial expertise, but we are an entrepreneurial company at heart.
  • We aren’t trying to be average – we want to do exceptional things, and we are willing to work hard to achieve them.
BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE:

We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Kinder’s benefits vary based on eligibility and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.

OUR RECIPE FOR BALANCE:

We believe great culture starts with people. We’re a people-first company built on connection, collaboration, and balance. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments.

WHERE EVERY INGREDIENT MATTERS:

Kinder's is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, citizenship, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, results of genetic testing, veteran status, as well as any other legally-protected characteristic. What We Do

In 1946, World War II Navy veteran John Kinder started his own butcher shop in a small storefront in San Pablo, California. Over the next seven decades, John built a reputation for commitment to quality, family service, and amazing flavors. At the age of 90, he was still showing up first and helping customers find quality ingredients to make clean, delicious meals for family and friends. At Kinder’s, we carry on Grandpa John’s legacy by offering the best tasting seasonings, rubs, marinades and sauces in the market. We are growing fast and our products are available at national retailers including Costco, Albertsons, Sam’s Club and Walmart.
