The Recreation Associate oversees the daily operations of all community pools, amenities, recreational activities, and fitness programs. The Recreation Associate will also assist the Lifestyle Director with the planning, implementation, and promotion of a comprehensive recreation and lifestyle calendar for the community members.

What you’ll accomplish: (Seasonal)

  • Overseeing aquatic vendors and programs
  • Creating, implementing, and managing the aquatic programs and classes

What you’ll accomplish: (Year-Round)

  • Managing water vessel rental program
  • Overseeing beach maintenance
  • Overseeing facilities and equipment, including managing the facility use schedule
  • Creating, implementing, and managing the group fitness programs and sport tournaments, including vendor and instructor management
  • Working with the Lifestyle Director to identify community event opportunities and assisting with lifestyle programming
  • Identify engaging, passive recreation activities that utilize the community amenities
  • Develop and maintain statistical data and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for departmental use

  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Flexibility, schedules can vary week to week depending on events

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
