Savan is seeking a Records and Information Management (RIM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join its RIM service line. This role will actively participate in project execution, stakeholder management, and key business development activities, driving the Bureau’s strategic records and information management improvements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Consult with the Bureau on strategic enhancements to RIM programs, conduct comprehensive assessments, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Implement effective strategies to improve records classification, retention policies, and overall program efficiency.
- Develop and execute records management policies aligning with federal regulations, industry standards, and the agency’s requirements.
- Educate stakeholders on the importance of robust RIM practices and their impact on the Bureau’s operational efficiency and compliance.
- Actively engage in project execution and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of RIM consulting experience, with a focus on implementing Microsoft Purview/Records Management or equivalent solutions.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal records management laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable compliance activities.
- Experience with electronic records management technology solutions.
- Previous experience developing or updating policy and procedure documentation.
- Hands-on experience with records inventories, file plans, and related artifacts.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly assess and understand key business processes and associated artifacts.
Work Location and Schedule:
- Hybrid Schedule (Washington, DC, with quarterly travel to Texas).

Compensation
Savan believes in offering fair and competitive compensation to all employees. Our salary structures are based on industry standards, market conditions, and the specific demands of each role. Salary determination for potential new employees is influenced by a combination of factors, including years of experience, educational qualifications, specialized skills and expertise relevant to the job, complexity, and scope of the role's responsibilities, internal salary structures, as well as the geographic location of the job. Salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
Compensation Range: 80,000.00-120,000.00
