Overview
The Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for the daily and month end general ledger/sub-ledger account reconciliations. The reconciling responsibilities include multiple clearing, cash, and DDA accounts as well as bank to bank cash reconciliations and balance sheet accounts associated with the core accounting system.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily manual reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Provides documentation necessary for operations personnel to identify and clear outstanding items or work with other departments to clear outstanding items within the standard timeframe.
- Review system exception reports, including system-generated and ad hoc reports, to validate the accuracy of GL and sub ledger processing, and work with original entry resource to clear the exception.
- Assist in the process of the daily BTEs (batch transaction entry)
- Identifies training requirements through analysis of repetitive errors and provides information to management for resolution.

Qualifications
- (2-5) years of banking experience
- 1 year accounting experience preferred
- Experience working with metrics preferred
- College degree preferred but commensurate work experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and Outlook required.
- Prior Reconciliation experience preferred

- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees using proven customer service skills.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and independently prioritizes competing tasks.
- Able to work in both an independent capacity as well as in a team environment
