This is a part-time, 25 hours/week position.
The Receptionist will serve as the point person for greeting and directing visitors and creating a welcoming experience, providing administrative and clerical support for various corps operations, including answering phone, typing and data entry, special projects, and seasonal activities.
About the role:
- Projects a positive, professional, compassionate image of The Salvation Army to the community, donors, board members, and others who have interactions with The Salvation Army.
- Answers multi-line phone system and retrieves and routes voice mail messages.
- Performs daily administrative functions of outgoing mail, writing receipts for donations, sorts and distributes mail.
- Performs basic administrative functions for Social Services and Seasonal programs.
- Assist with In-kind donations, record keeping and routing donations to correct areas.
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for people as they enter the building.
- Update and maintain bulletin boards and magazine displays.
- Supervises volunteers assigned to front desk.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
Certifications: Valid Driver’s license with approval to drive from TSA’s insurance carrier.
Experience: One year of receptionist experience is preferred.
