Receptionist Position Purpose
The Receptionist is responsible for answering and directing calls to the appropriate person or department, greeting and directing customers to the appropriate personnel, and assisting with the branch's general clerical duties.
Receptionist Essential Functions
- Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
- Answers incoming calls and directs calls to the appropriate department or person
- Handles incoming and outgoing mail
- Mails invoices
- Maintains and orders office supplies
- Maintains all office equipment (postal machine and copier, etc.)
- Provides consistent and reliable on-site attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned

Receptionist Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of office or clerical experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
- Adept at organizing, planning, and completing tasks to manage a high volume of department paperwork
- Bilingual - Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish
- Valid Drivers License
Receptionist Physical Requirements
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying 50 pounds
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Ability to move distances within and between warehouses and offices
- Driving locally or sitting for long periods
