Vineyard Hills Health Center is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to join our skilled nursing facility. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment while providing administrative support to our Business Office and Human Resources departments.

Position SummaryThe Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing telephone calls, providing general information, and performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties. This position ensures the front desk operates efficiently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. All responsibilities are performed in accordance with Compass Health, Inc. policies and procedures.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative support role preferred.
- Experience answering multi-line telephone systems, greeting the public, filing, and using computer software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, foster teamwork, and build professional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Greet residents, visitors, physicians, vendors, employees, and representatives from local, state, and federal agencies in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, take accurate messages, and distribute them to the appropriate departments.
- Provide general information and directions to visitors and callers.
- Assist Accounts Payable and Human Resources with administrative tasks as assigned.
- Issue payment receipts as requested and assist with Resident Trust accounting.
- Prepare and distribute employment applications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Provide clerical support to the Business Office Manager.
- Order and maintain office supplies as needed.
- Perform filing, copying, scanning, and other general office duties.
General Responsibilities
- Keep supervisors informed of significant issues, concerns, or unusual situations and recommend appropriate solutions when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information.
- Project a positive and professional image of Vineyard Hills Health Center and Compass Health, Inc.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Work is performed primarily within the facility, with occasional responsibilities outside the building.
- May occasionally be required to work beyond regularly scheduled hours.
- Daily interaction with residents, family members, visitors, employees, healthcare providers, vendors, and government representatives.
- Ability to perform primarily sedentary work with frequent walking.
- Frequent use of hands and wrists for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Full-time, 8-hour shifts
- Monday through Friday
- Holiday availability as needed
Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs
- Previous training/experience answering telephones, greeting the public, filing, and basic computer programs
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (1 year)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
