We are seeking a professional, dependable, and organized Receptionist to join our team in Muncie, Indiana. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing outstanding customer service, managing front office operations, and supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and customers, you will help create a welcoming experience while providing administrative support to the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department and Executive Leadership.

What You'll Do

Front Desk & Customer Service
  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers with professionalism.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the front office.
  • Notify supervisors when interview candidates arrive.
  • Coordinate incoming deliveries and communicate with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Executive leadership.
  • Create and issue employee identification badges.
  • Maintain employee call-off logs and badge swipe reports.
  • Organize, scan, and electronically file new hire paperwork and employee training records.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems with accuracy.
  • Assist with ordering office and safety supplies.
  • Support onboarding activities for new employees.
Meeting & Office Coordination
  • Coordinate catering and food orders for meetings.
  • Prepare conference rooms before meetings.
  • Clean and reset conference rooms after meetings.
  • Restock refreshments, beverages, and coffee supplies.
Safety & PPE Administration
  • Maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory.
  • Issue and collect loaner safety equipment including boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and bump caps.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock PPE after use.
  • Serve as backup Area 1 Emergency Evacuation Warden when needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, Front Desk Coordinator, or Customer Service Representative preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
