Based in our city centre Ringsend office, Howden Ireland are delighted to have a vacancy as a receptionist on a permanent basis for the Howden business that will be an integral part of our wider Operations team.About the role: Reporting to the Operations manager for Howden your overall function will be to operate the switchboard efficiently providing a fast and effective phone delivery service to our operations. Key Responsibilities:- Provide a full Switchboard operating service, answering incoming calls for three offices and dealing with telephone queries from callers Redirecting calls to the relevant department as efficiently as possible
- Meeting room calendar management
- Front desk reception, meeting and greeting all clients in a professional manner
- Answering all incoming calls and forwarding to appropriate teams if necessary
- Handling incoming and outgoing post, including DX post
- Catering for internal meeting
- To assist in the maintenance of daily record of staff/directors who are out of the office during the day for H&S purposes
- Ordering of company stationary and maintaining facility needs
- Updating customer details onto the system as required
- Adhere to Compliance as outlined in Staff Handbook & Procedures Manual
- Adhere to Health & Safety policy
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a busy call centre/switchboard or reception type of role
- Excellent client relationship skills - ability to interact with clients over the phone and face to face, in a friendly, professional and timely manner
- Polite, courteous telephone manner who is flexible and results driven
- Professional, front of house appearance
- Honest and places high emphasis on integrity
- Continuously strives to learn, acquire knowledge and new skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail
- Extremely well organised with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure in a busy environment.
