Position Summary
The person in this position, under the direct supervision of the Logistics Manager, Oversees Receiving and all inventory control, receipt and put-away functions. This person must follow all Receiving Procedures and ensure all inbound shipments are received daily. The person in the position is required to communicate with management and peers professionally and courteously.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages warehouse resources in a lean environment.
- Ensure all inbound shipments are received and put away.
- Able to communicate with vendors to schedule delivery appointments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Delegate daily tasks to Receiving associates.
- Ability to look up items in Oracle ERP systems.
- Able to communicate with purchasing to resolve any receiving issues.
- Monitor inventory receipt transactions for discrepancies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Monitoring warehouse associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts/machinery.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to delegate workload to associates in multiple buildings.
- Root cause/troubleshoot systemic transactions.
- Monthly reporting.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent must be able to verify.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle and Agile preferred
- Experience with quality environments such as ISO or Lean Six Sigma
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or similar process improvement experience a plus
- Sarbanes Oxley process knowledge
