Vast is looking for a Receiving Coordinator, reporting to the Logistics Manager, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and specifications
- Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components for damage, quantity, and compliance with quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of parts, including lot numbers, serial numbers, and certifications (CoC, test reports, etc.)
- Enter and maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspection hold items or non-conforming materials
- Label, tag, and route materials to appropriate storage or production areas
- Maintain controlled storage conditions for sensitive or hazardous materials
- Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods
- Support audits by maintaining organized and compliant receiving records
- Follow ESD, FOD, and safety protocols at all times
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- 2+ years of receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience (aerospace or manufacturing preferred)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and purchase orders
- Willingness to work overtime, evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) and quality inspection processes
- Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, FAA regulations, etc.) is a plus
- Experience handling serialized or controlled inventory
- Understanding of material certifications and traceability requirements
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Additional Requirements:
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing floor setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment
- Adherence to safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards
Pay Ranges:
- Receiving Coordinator I: $21-$30
- Receiving Coordinator II: $23-$32
- Receiving Coordinator III: $25-$35
