Receiving Coordinator

Here you’ll interact daily with key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations as well as our internal operations.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Nordco Logistics team, you will be responsible for maintaining records of incoming material ordered against purchase orders, updating material location changes, resolving inventory discrepancies in regard to Receiving, as well as receiving incoming material to the on hand balance for immediate use.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous scanners, receiving experience (office setting) is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Syspro, etc.
• Strong time management skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

• High sense of urgency
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail

What will your typical day look like?

• Daily receipt of all incoming deliveries, including daily receipts of all Advanced Shipping Notices. 
• Processing generating of all parts put away to the inventory on hand balance.
• Updates Inventory parts records upon request, verify inventory movement discrepancies as needed.
• Communication of any receipt discrepancies to the supplier and Buyer/Planner.  Retrieval of copies of any shipping documents from the supplier not sent with incoming material.
• Process internal credits from production and close WIP jobs.
• Works with Sales and Service to resolve returns in question.
• Routes deliveries to specific internal destinations as indicated, when required.
• Coordinates logistics for material requiring a return or exchange to supplier.
• Expedites receipts for Production or Sales when requested.
• Provides documentation for audit upon request.  Research receipt issues related to Accounts Payable.
• Work regularly with internal and external customers as needed.
• Other general office duties as assigned. This includes cross-functional department training and assistance.

What about the physical demands of the job?

Work is primarily light duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.  This position is basically sedentary, and requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is required to talk or hear.  Close vision ability is required. 

Office and shop setting subject to interruptions, moderate noise and other normal environmental conditions.  Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.  Works under routine deadlines and work volume requirements.  Normal work hours scheduled by supervisor and may vary on occasion.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $27-$32 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
