Job DescriptionA Recall Specialist in the automotive industry is responsible for managing vehicle recalls and field actions to ensure compliance with safety, emission, and regulatory standards, coordinating with internal teams, dealerships, and affected customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Informing and guiding the network during recalls, with initial communication via official registered mail and additional follow-up by e-mail and phone
- Launching an formalizing recalls with the official local authorities on the status and progress of ongoing recalls.
- Tracking, documenting, and reporting recall progress through system such as Salesforce or internal dashboards to ensure completion of repair initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Providing translations where necessary to support internal and external communication.
- Internal publication and timely communication to the network regarding upcoming recalls and the associated actions
- Providing support in the preparation and management of documentation and cases files required for legal proceedings
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge: Engineering background or relevant technical experience in the automotive industry
- Professional experience, typically 3-5 years in automotive industry (recall knowledge is a plus), after-sales, quality management or related roles
- Analytical and organizational skills: Ability to assess complex situations, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain accurate records
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch for interacting with dealers and regulatory authorities
- Problem-solving and decision-making: ability to work independently, assess and escalate risks, determine appropriate actions and ensure timely follow-up
- Interpersonal skills: High empathy, diplomacy and tact to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and customers
