Rebate Analyst SrJob Description
The Senior Rebate Analyst performs complex, specialized financial analysis assignments within the Trade Relations area of Prime Therapeutics. This position is also responsible for assisting contract negotiators and working with other internal departments regarding the financial ramifications and relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of additional reporting support tools, and the proactive investigation of a wide variety of manufacturer issues and opportunities for process improvement
- Lead the creation of non-financial tools, including proactive marketplace assessments, exploration of internal support requirements to implement contractual agreements, and the tracking of formulary status decisions
- Represent the department on corporate projects, including interaction with Prime upper level management; includes IT Projects, DIR Reporting to CMS, HIM Reporting to CMS, Client Ad Hoc Reporting and Finance/Treasury projects
- Assist in financial analysis, formulary comparisons, suggested net cost improvements, and responding to inquiries; may include client questions related to invoiced products and corresponding rates and qualification
- Supervise and train rebate analyst(s)
- Assess, implement and communicate critical information for maintenance of rebate system; including, contract amendments and other changes that impact the rebate process
- Analyze and resolve contract disputes working with manufacturers to ensure timely payment of rebates and admin fees
- Reconcile manufacturer payments as compared to invoice to prepare for allocation of payments to clients
- Supports Client implementation and Audit requests
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 5 years of work experience in finance or contracts
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
- Proven project management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft products including Access, Excel, and Word
- Knowledge of PBM and/or health care industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in database management
- Experience in Big Data and data analytics
- Experience with database and ETL platforms (i.e., SAS, Teradata, Alteryx, SAP Business Objects)

Reporting Structure
- Reports to Sr Professional or Director in the Pharmacy Trade Relations department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $85,600.00 - $128,400.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
