Job Description
The Re-Disclosure Specialist will handle all loan file initial disclosures and re-disclosures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position will also issue all initial disclosures and re-disclosures.
- Understanding the requirements for RESPA, TILA and MDIA regarding disclosing
- Process all requests within 3 business days of application and valid change to ensure compliance with governance, policies, and procedures
- Responsible for determining if re-disclosure is allowable
- Understanding the complexity of multiple states' requirements for taxes, transfer taxes, mortgage taxes, recording fees, and any state-required fees
- Understanding of FHA loans
- Managing expectations to stay within company turn times
Qualifications
- Must have 1 to 2 years of residential mortgage experience, reverse a plus
- Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination and underwriting guidelines
- Ability to prioritize requests within disclosure cabinets daily
- Fast Learner, fast worker, reliable and punctual, organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter and the ability to work on projects with limited supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
