Here at the Santa Clara Site in Santa Clara, California, we have a multidisciplinary team that envisions new technologies and brings them to fruition. As a hardware project manager, you will lead engineers and scientists to make valuable contributions and innovative products for our mass spectrometry systems coupled with gas chromatography. Our instruments are used around the world to make sure our energy, food, environment, and medicines are safe.
You will be responsible for the overall operations in your R&D area. Your team will conduct basic research and development that is relevant to our long-term objectives and concerns. You will lead/collaborate with other functional areas like marketing to develop strategies, customer relationships, and specific programs to achieve our business objectives. You will help identify customer needs for specific projects and programs and manage their development and execution.

Leads/manages people and team operations.

Applies understanding of teams’ specialized areas to define roles, responsibilities, and resource requirements.

Ensures that the design and implementation of functional policies, processes, and projects align with tactical business plans.

Autonomy to resolve technical and operational challenges within the department.

Resolves conflicting priorities; guides individual contributors on complex challenges and assignments.

Manages resources to implement tactical business plans and programs/projects.

Develops operational plans and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards to meet department/organizational goals and deliverables.

Collaborates internally and externally on matters related to organizational goals or processes.

Leads projects or initiatives that have impacts within or beyond own team.

Leads project Triad (R&D/Mktg/OF) in project administration and planning.

Leads cross functional team in project deliverables and coordination.

Leads product verification and validation efforts.

Leads project through Project Lifecycle Management processes
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (engineering or science preferred) or equivalent plus directly relevant experience.

Minimum of 2-3 years experience formally or informally leading people, projects, and/or programs for entry to this level.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $160,291.00 - $250,455.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
