As an R&D Business Operations Manager at Gong, you will play a critical role in driving excellence, efficiency, and growth within our R&D division. You will lead the performance of four key domains, ensuring they deliver measurable business value and align with organizational goals. This strategic leadership position will require you to optimize processes, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure visibility into initiatives and outcomes.
As an R&D Business Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead the execution of strategic frameworks, best practices, and tools across R&D work plans and program management, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of key milestones.
- Oversee cross-R&D initiatives, resolving bottlenecks and dependencies to maintain momentum.
- Define and implement data-driven strategies to deliver actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and KPIs, in collaboration with data analysts.
- Drive cloud financial operations (FinOps) by aligning cloud spending initiatives with R&D and company objectives, optimizing cloud costs, and executing cost-reduction strategies.
- Design and implement a strategic roadmap for technical learning and professional growth within R&D, identifying skill gaps and creating programs to enhance engineers' capabilities.
You should apply if you are:
- A senior leader with at least 10 years of experience in R&D operations or a strategic role, with a proven track record of driving impactful outcomes.
- Skilled at leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, enabling the successful delivery of large-scale initiatives.
- Highly analytical with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Experienced in large-scale program management, change management, and data analysis.
- Familiar with cloud financial operations (FinOps) and learning & development, with a strong communication and interpersonal skill set for engaging stakeholders.
- Proficient in managerial tools such as Jira, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), and project management platforms for operations excellence.
