Job DescriptionSpecific Responsibilities
§ At all times, compliy with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
§ Analyze engineering documentation, technical drawings and schematics, and translate them into structured, topic‑based service content.
§ Create, update and revise service procedures, troubleshooting steps, safety information and component descriptions following internal documentation standards.
§ Work within the ST4 Schema environment to assemble topic‑based content into complete service manuals (no prior ST4 experience required; full training will be provided).
§ Ensure that all work follows SGS quality assurance procedures and client‑specific formatting and terminology guidelines.
§ Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other writers to clarify technical details and ensure accuracy.
§ Manage revisions, update logs and version control in accordance with project requirements.
§ Complete all assigned tasks and training within required deadlines.
§ Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.
§ Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Profile
§ Bachelor’s degree (technical writing, Engineering, or Applied science preferred or equivalent experience).
§ Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Technical Writer (experience with service/maintenance manuals is a strong advantage).
§ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and refrigeration or electromechanical schematics (mandatory).
§ Experience with topic‑based or modular documentation (DITA, ST4, or similar) is an asset but not required.
§ Strong commitment to quality, accuracy and operational excellence.
Required Skills
Excellent English writing skills; strong clarity, structure and technical precision.
§ Strong analytical and technical comprehension abilities.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Word (intermediate, including tables and structured formatting).
§ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
§ High level of integrity and responsibility.
