About this opportunity:
We are looking for a 5G Back-Office RAN Engineer to support the configuration, monitoring and optimization of 5G Radio Access Network elements using OSS and NETAN systems. In this role, you will contribute to stable day-to-day RAN operations, incident resolution and performance management, ensuring network availability and SLA compliance.
You will collaborate closely with SNOC,NOC, field teams, RF planning, core teams and vendors, supporting feature rollouts, network changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will do:
- Monitor, configure and manage 5G RAN elements (gNBs, DU/CU, small cells) using OSS/NETAN tools
- Perform fault management activities, including alarm handling, root cause analysis, ticket ownership and SLA tracking
- Analyze network performance KPIs and support corrective actions to improve availability and quality
- Support activation and parameterization of 5G features
- Prepare, execute and validate configuration changes, including support for new site integration and upgrades
- Produce operational reports and RCA documentation
- Maintain accurate network inventory and configuration data in OSS,CMDB systems
- Provide L1/L2 operational support and act as an escalation point for complex RAN incidents
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation and basic automation activities
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile RAN operations or engineering, with exposure to 5G
- Hands-on experience with RAN OSS/NETAN and vendor EMS/NMS platforms (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of 3GPP RAN architecture and protocols
- Experience with fault and performance management, including KPI analysis and RCA
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (JIRA, Remedy, ServiceNow)
- Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Shell or SQL)
- Working knowledge of Linux and basic networking concepts
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
