The ChristianaCare Aston Outpatient location is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist III.
Shift:
- 7:30a - 4p and other hours as needed.
- Weekends as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To perform all the duties of a level II Radiologic Technologist in the outpatient setting.
- Content level expert of radiographic equipment and knowledge and proficiency to troubleshoot.
- Ability to operate all modality units/manufacturers in geographical area (all northern or southern).
- Content level expert of radiology supported computer systems, PACS superuser, and CD burners.
- Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
- Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
- Enter accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
- Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
- Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtain appropriate consent.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Always uses 2 3 patient identifiers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a staff radiologic technologist and/or triple credentialed, triple practicing technologist.
- Completion of a two-year program in Radiology Technology is required
- State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required.
- CPR Certification
- An associate's degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
- Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- ARRT registered.
