As a R&D Tech I here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the research and development efforts by supporting the design, testing, and implementation of innovative technologies. You will work closely with engineering teams to help bring new products and solutions from concept to reality, playing a key role in Honeywell’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

You will report directly to our manager and you’ll work out of our McCook, IL location on an on-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge technologies that address complex challenges and enhance Honeywell’s product portfolio, helping to maintain our competitive edge in the industry.
 

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Assist in the design, development, and testing of new products and technologies under the guidance of senior engineers.
•    Support the execution of experiments, data collection, and analysis to validate technical concepts and designs.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new technologies into existing systems and processes.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE


•    Experience supporting research and development projects within a technology or manufacturing environment.
•    Strong knowledge of materials science, electronics, or related technical fields relevant to Honeywell’s product lines.
•    Proficiency in laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis tools to support product development.
•    Familiarity with technical documentation and experimental procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.


WE VALUE


•    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
•    1-3 years of experience in research and development or technical support roles.
•    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
•    Basic knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards applicable to R&D activities.


The annual base salary range for this position is $44,800 - $56,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
