Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute with own ideas to identify, propose and implement innovative technology development and solutions.
- Solve industrialization problems independently.
- Demonstrates solid electronics technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, for instance schematic, layout and BOM creation and maintenance, contributes to design reviews and verification following established QA/QC process.
- Understands the key business drivers for ABB in order to make judgments and contribute to results.
- As a solid R&D project member and contributor, with experience as project or sub-project leader, ensures alignment with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and coordinates activities.
- Maintains awareness of state-of-art technology, as well as ABB products and technologies, and identifies and understands technical drivers for R&D projects in own area.
- Participates constructively in working teams. Shares own technical/scientific knowledge in own projects and supports colleagues in applying processes and tools to ensure timely and high-quality results.
- Work with cutting-edge technology and top experts to engineer solutions that shape the future.
Job Requirements:
- BS with 8+ years, MS/PhD with 5+ years working experience, major in electronics engineering, automation or equivalent.
- Demonstrated solid technical proficiency in electronics area, e.g. analog/digital electronics, circuit theory, fundamental of computer system, digital signal processing, communication theory, electromagnetics, etc.
- Demonstrated solid understanding of R&D processes and tools, familiar with ERP software such as SAP.
- Demonstrated solid proficiency in EDA tools, e.g. OrCAD / Mentor Graphic / Altium Designer and etc.
- Demonstrated rich experience on at least one popular embedded platform, ARM and FPGA is preferred.
- Experience on high-speed signal processing, e.g. 1000BASE Ethernet/PCIe/DDR5, etc is a plus.
- Experience on fieldbus, e.g. EtherCAT, DeviceNet, Powerlink, etc is a plus.
- Familiar with Robotics or industrial automation international regulation/standard (ISO, EN, IEC, UL and etc.) is a plus.
