Job Purpose/Overview
To continue to deliver our commitment to the Quality Principle and protect our investment in strategic digital R&D and Quality capabilities, the business requires the right level of sustained functional expert support. The Functional Expert organization ensures the sustainability and maintenance of deployed enterprise R&D Systems/Platforms in the region; expectation to deliver functional analysis and expertise to the Business across Mars Snacking, Petcare, and Food segments.
This role will work closely with the R&D Regional Systems Functional Experts, Key Business Users, and Corporate Product Owners. Day-to-day activities may include incident management, key user training support, translating business needs into technical requirements, defining test scripts, testing effective delivery of technical capability, analysis of issues and trends, root cause analysis, et al.
Job Responsibilities
Key/End User support and Knowledge Management
- Providing key user support as a point of escalation for system issues.
- Strong support for development and maintenance of key/end user training curriculum and training materials.
- Develops and maintains testing documentation (testing scenarios, scripts).
- Performance review of service level effectiveness (incident trends, SLAs) to drive continuous improvements.
- Partners with development team to support resolution of system issues/bugs.
- Drives rapid response to “Code Red” incidents and support technical teams by providing functional input into analysis, solutioning, testing and approval.
Governance (System process and data quality)
- Supports regional FEs in system/ data quality compliance and root cause analysis of gaps with key users/end users.
- Supports data analysis of Traceability issues or Regulatory queries as requested by Data Custodians.
- Operational support and Change Management
- Incident management.
- Support Regional FE in CIP management, focusing on testing (SIT, coordination of UAT and End-to-end testing).
- Works closely with MDT (Mars Digital Technologies) team on impact assessment of system changes.
- Definition of business test case scenarios based on business requirements and their translation to the MDT development and testing teams.
- Provides input to Data council and Corporate R&D team on reporting improvements and data analysis tools.
New capability deployment
- Supports Functional Expert in deployment activities by executing data and process analysis.
- Manages deployment related development requests (VADS) and service tickets.
- Supports Key/end user training journey (defining curriculum, developing training materials, executing training sessions, supports hyper-care).
What are we looking for?
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in science or IT systems or equivalent in food safety/food science or related subject area is desirable
- Experience in R&D, Quality, R&D systems, Supply or DT/Business partnership preferred
- Experience with Atlas, Nexus, and ERP Agnostic systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Fluent in English
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Experience with Power Platforms (Apps, Power Automate, PBI) and advanced Excel and/or other data analytics tools preferred
- Strong data analysis capability
