Join Stryker Neurovascular as a Staff Engineer, R&D, where you will support the development and manufacturing readiness of innovative neurovascular medical devices. In this role, you will apply engineering expertise to develop manufacturing processes, introduce automation solutions, and partner with cross-functional teams to advance products through development and launch within a regulated medical device environment.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, optimize, and verify manufacturing processes, components, assemblies, and equipment used in the production of neurovascular medical devices.

  • Translate product design requirements into manufacturing specifications and implement processes and equipment that support scalable production.

  • Evaluate, qualify, and introduce semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment, including custom automation solutions from external vendors.

  • Analyze and resolve complex product design and manufacturing process issues using structured problem-solving methodologies and data-driven decision making.

  • Lead engineering documentation activities and ensure compliance with design controls, risk management, validation requirements, and applicable industry regulations.

What You Will Need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred:

  • Experience with neurovascular, peripheral vascular, cardiovascular, catheter-based, or related medical devices.

  • Experience designing and optimizing mechanical assemblies using Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.

  • Experience applying materials science and manufacturing process knowledge to product development.

  • Experience using DMAIC methodologies for process improvement and problem solving.

  • Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles within a production environment.

  • Experience designing automated manufacturing fixtures and equipment.

  • Experience leading implementation of custom automation projects delivered by external equipment vendors.

  


United States of America Pay Ranges:

$93,800 - $156,200 USD Annual
