Job Description:This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following job duties:
Work as part of a physical design team implementing chips from netlist to GDSii with a good understanding of the technology elements and the design flow in all stages.
Responsible for floorplanning, design partitioning, and block pin assignment.
Perform block PnR, timing closure, and physical verification.
Perform block IR/EM analysis. Experience with chip level IR/EM analysis is a big plus.
Familiar with scripting languages such as tcl, perl and python. Write scripts to automate the physical design flow and increase efficiency.
Expertise in low-power IC design is desirable.
Good knowledge of physical verification using Mentor’s Calibre tool.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is USD 121,900.00 To USD 195,000.00

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of directly related technical experience with a bachelor's degree
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of work experience with a master's degree or Ph.D.
- Knowledge of ARM subsystems
- Knowledge of high-speed digital circuit design
- Knowledge of digital upsampling and downsampling
- Knowledge of 10G, 100G, 200G, 400G, and 800G Ethernet and OTN networks
- Knowledge of Forward Error Correction design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on laboratory debugging experience
- Knowledge of RTL simulation and synthesis
- In-depth knowledge of low-power design, design for test, and design for manufacturing
- Knowledge of Verilog, VHDL, Unix or Perl scripting, Python, and C
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organization and issue-closure skills
- Understanding of the complete IC development flow and volume production qualification procedures
- Knowledge of digital signal processing and error-correction codes
- Ability to collaborate with remote teams across different time zones
