In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.
This role is contributing to the Motion business IEC LV Motors division in Bangalore India.
You will be mainly accountable for:Utilize 2D and 3D modeling to create special mechanical designs in engineered to order projects.
Review mechanical bill of material accuracy and work with project engineers to achieve desired mechanical component ordering.
Ensure all designs work to meet company, industry, and customer’s technical standards/requirements (i.e., IS. IEC, NEMA, ANSI, IEEE, customer project specifications, etc.).
Perform tolerance and mechanical stress analysis as necessary.
Support mechanical designs for New Product Introductions.
Address manufacturing concerns or questions related to mechanical designs and/or bill of materials.
Provide feedback and solutions to project managers and project engineers to meet customer needs.
B.E or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3-6 years of experience in R&D / Engineering.
Must have worked with electrical rotating machines design.
Exposure in electrical rotating machines with R&D/Engineering.
Solid technical proficiency in Electrical motor design, e.g. Induction motor, testing and validation testing, Insulation system, electromagnetics, etc. FEA will be added advantage
