Due to an internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Supervisor to join us and help oversee operations at our Tauhei Quarry.
About the role
With Genuine opportunity for career advancement this is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly team at Tauhei Quarry in the Auckland. As Quarry Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing quarrying operations, supporting and coaching staff and assisting with the current and future development of our quarry.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will ensure that staff are supported in all aspects of their work, championing Health and Safety and providing solid leadership towards their development. You must be a strong team player, who is willing to go above and beyond to help your team and is passionate about all aspects of quarrying.
What we need from you
Quarry certification; preferably A Grade, minimum B Grade working towards A Grade
Intermediate ability using Microsoft suite of programmes, Word, Excel
A strong culture of safety leadership and working knowledge of the legislation pertaining to Quarrying
Full Class 2 with WTR endorsements is compulsory
An ability to consult and negotiate with clients, community stakeholders and Local Authorities
Excellent people management, leadership and communication skills
Ability to help develop production budgets and work to financial targets
Practical Crushing & Screening knowledge
Practical understanding of Drill & Blast processes
Plant Maintenance experience will be well regarded
Experience and ability in operation of heavy mobile plant and rock crushing plant

Skills Required
