We are currently recruiting for an experienced a Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes East of Bendigo.
Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is a multi-faceted role leading the quarry and overseeing the daily management of the operation, including production, continuous improvement, health & safety, logistics and full P&L responsibility.
 

In your new role, you will be:

  • Leading and managing people while bringing your team along the journey to successfully achieve goals.

  • Making business decisions that impact the overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting and managing costs within budget.

  • Managing the day-to-day operations where you are responsible for quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.

  • Focused on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry and community as a responsible and sustainable partner.

  • Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others.

Skills Required

  • Experience as a quarry manager or supervisor with relevant industry qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting and P&L responsibility
  • Operational experience in quarry development, stormwater and environmental management
  • Preventative maintenance planning and production management experience
  • Strong safety mindset and experience managing high-risk activities (Zero Harm focus)
  • Experience driving continuous improvement across supply chain or operations
  • Negotiation and stakeholder influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, make effective decisions under pressure, and demonstrate resilience/adaptability
  • Full Australian work rights and ability to attend work fit for duty
