Classiq Technologies is a quantum software company based in Tel Aviv. We provide a full-stack platform (IDE, high-level language, compiler, and OS) for designing, compiling, and running quantum algorithms. About the role:
This position is based in Seoul, South Korea and reporting to the Country Manager, South Korea. You will own and manage complex quantum application and IT projects, ensuring that all contractually binding deliverables are completed on time, within scope, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working at the intersection of advanced quantum technology, enterprise IT, and customer delivery, you will oversee projects from initial planning through implementation, acceptance, and deployment.
This role requires strong project management capabilities, including proficiency with project planning and tracking tools, Gantt charts, milestone management, risk registers, resource planning, and status reporting. You will establish clear project governance, maintain detailed delivery plans, identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure accountability across all workstreams.
You will coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including the Country Manager, local and regional technical teams, product and R&D teams, the internal project management team in Tel Aviv, partners, and customers in South Korea. You will serve as the central point of ownership for project execution, ensuring effective communication, timely escalation, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery of all contractual commitments.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Define goals, deliverables, milestones, and schedules of multiple projects.
- Own full project lifecycle: scope management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide regular updates, reporting, and technical demos to leadership, partners, and customers.
- Represent Classiq at industry events, workshops, and academic venues, presenting the work done on these projects.
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitor project KPIs (schedule, deliverable quality, stakeholder engagement).
- Integrate emerging methodologies in project management, application development, and quantum software development.
Requirements
- Native-level Korean and professional fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both local customers and global teams.
- Bachelor’s (or advanced) degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or similar.
- 3+ years of project/program management experience in high-tech or deep-tech environments.
- Solid understanding of quantum computing, or high motivation and capability to learn quantum computing algorithms.
- Experience working with research or software teams, public/private partnerships.
- Excellent communication: translating complex technical matters for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred
- MSc or PhD in Quantum Computing or related disciplines.
- Certifications: PMP or similar.
- Experience with implementing Lean Six Sigma or similar principles for software development projects.
Skills Required
- M.Sc. or higher in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with thesis or equivalent research in quantum information
- Solid understanding of quantum computing principles and hands-on experience developing quantum algorithms
- Ability to write maintainable, production-quality code
- Experience with compiler or synthesis-engine development
- Experience with quantum software frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong Python
- Broader computer-science algorithms background
