Classiq is seeking a full-time Quantum Application Engineer to join our growing team in Tokyo/Seoul. As a key member of our global Quantum Applications team, you will play a crucial role in driving customer success, supporting technical engagements, and accelerating the adoption of our cutting-edge quantum software platform. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both customers and internal stakeholders. You’ll provide hands-on technical support, lead complex project implementations, and apply your expertise in quantum algorithms and application development using the Classiq platform.
Your contributions will be critical to ensuring successful customer deployments and will help identify opportunities to enhance our product offering. This position reports directly to the Managing Director, Japan & APAC and Commercial Director of Korea, with a dotted-line report to the Director of Quantum Applications Engineering, based at our global headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel.
What you'll do
- Provide technical support and guidance to enterprise and academic customers primarily in South Korea, with
- occasional coverage across the broader APAC region, including Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, and India.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and help design effective quantum application workflows using Classiq’s platform
- Contribute to pre-sales and post-sales activities, working closely with the sales and product teams to drive customer
- success
- Identify product enhancement opportunities based on user feedback and project experiences
- Collaborate closely with GTM team to promote Classiq’s brand, technology, and values within the APAC quantum
- ecosystem
- Represent Classiq at local and regional events, workshops, and partner meetings.
Who you are
- Strong understanding of quantum computing and quantum algorithms
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles, preferably in B2B or deep-tech environments
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment
- Fluent in both Korean and English, with strong English communication skills essential for effective collaboration with teams across Israel, Japan, etc."
- Passionate about advancing quantum computing adoption in South Korea and across the APAC region
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, or a related field to quantum computing.
- Experience with quantum information, quantum software engineering, or quantum algorithms
- Strong technical support, troubleshooting, and project management skills
- Preferred: Proficiency in Python programming will be a plus

Skills Required
- Native-level Korean and professional fluency in English
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a similar field
- At least 3 years of project or program management experience in high-tech or deep-tech environments
- Solid understanding of quantum computing, or strong motivation and ability to learn quantum computing algorithms
- Experience working with research or software teams and public/private partnerships
- Excellent communication skills, including translating complex technical matters for diverse stakeholders
- MSc or PhD in Quantum Computing or a related discipline
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma or similar principles for software development projects
