Role Overview
The Quantitative Engineer will design, build, and support scalable technology and analytics platforms that power quantitative research, portfolio construction, index services, and client portfolio production. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data engineering, and investment analytics, partnering closely with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, and client‑facing teams to translate investment logic into robust, production‑grade systems.
Core Responsibilities

- Implement and productionize quantitative models, investment signals, portfolio construction logic, and index methodologies in a controlled, reproducible, and auditable manner.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, validating, transforming, and storing large‑scale financial and market datasets used across research and production environments.
- Support portfolio production workflows, including holdings generation, rebalancing, attribution, risk analytics, and client‑specific customizations.
- Enhance system robustness through modular design, version control, automated testing, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Analyze business and technical requirements, evaluate architectural alternatives, and implement solutions using sound engineering judgment and established design patterns.
- Ensure consistency between research and production implementations, minimizing discrepancies between back‑tested and live portfolio outputs.
- Operate within established development standards, governance frameworks, and change‑management processes.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, index services, sales, and marketing teams to translate investment concepts into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders on development progress, risks, and delivery timelines.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong experience in software development and analytics, preferably within asset management, quantitative finance, or financial services.

- Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices is preferred.
- Understanding of numerical methods, data structures, and performance optimization in a production environment.
Investment & Domain Knowledge
- Solid foundational understanding of asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives) and investment strategies (factor‑based, smart beta, index‑tracking, systematic strategies).
- Familiarity with portfolio construction concepts, including constraints, rebalancing, turnover, and optimization trade‑offs.
- Exposure to index methodologies, benchmark construction, or portfolio analytics is a strong plus.
- Ability to work closely with investment professionals and translate investment logic into precise, testable technical implementations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- 1–5 years of experience in quantitative engineering, software engineering, data engineering, or analytics roles (including strong academic or project‑based experience).
